I love this quote, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” (by L.M. Montgomery, ‘Anne of Green Gables’). October is the prettiest and perhaps the most magical month of year. As the leaves die, they explode into breathtaking color, while the light and heat of Summer slips into the cool dark of Autumn. This darkness is enhanced by spider webs in crooks and crannies everywhere. Squirrels are busy gathering nuts for the winter and the robins disappear. As we approach Halloween, it’s an all-in celebration of spirit and of those who’ve passed through the veil.
Among this month’s articles, I feature an interview with local Medium Jennifer Lloyd, who communicates with the dead. Her work is remarkable and has brought comfort and healing to many grieving souls. She is hosting a weekend retreat to ‘raise your vibe’ – in Oshkosh in November. (See page 20 for details.)
‘Angel Talk’ is about four real life ghost sightings I’ve had. On page 6 are four of several noted haunted places in Wisconsin. Steve Freier reviews the book, ‘Survival of the Soul and Its Evolution After Death’ and Meredith offers an eye-opening perspective of life before birth.
Adding to the mystique-filled issue is, ‘Crow: Omen of Change’ by Lynne Austin; Amy Wilinski’s ‘Bear Medicine’ and my Red Bird story as a special Halloween treat for you to discover your own animal spirit guide. Enjoy this issue that notes the end of the life-cycle and perhaps the restart?
